Awards and Industry Recognition
Warren’s professional achievements have earned him recognition from a range of prominent organizations. He has received honors from Hart Energy and the Texas Oil and Gas Association and was inducted into both the Texas Business Hall of Fame and the Ammys Hall of Fame. He is also a recipient of the Hanlon Award from the Gas Processors Association. In 2020, he was named a Dallas Business Hall of Fame Laureate by Junior Achievement of Dallas, and he holds membership in the Horatio Alger Association of Distinguished Americans.
A Record Gift to UT-Arlington
In 2023, Kelcy Warren made the largest single donation in the history of the University of Texas-Arlington, gifting $12 million to advance the university’s resource and energy engineering program. A 1978 graduate of UT-Arlington, Warren framed the gift as a response to Texas’s growing need for skilled energy professionals. Prior to this contribution, he had given $4 million to the university across 25 years, including a graduate fellowship honoring his former professor Syed Qasim.
