Fulfilling the role of a leader is a indeed a huge responsibility that few people tend to carry because it often entails making great sacrifices for the sake of self and others in order to extract the opportunities out of life that are often deemed impossible. In so saying, leaders wear the shoes that others don’t want to walk in and are often praised for their efforts by the masses because they possess the courage to address issues that impact so many people. In today’s society, there are quite a few significant leaders that are found within all aspects of life and Adam Milstein happens to be one such influential figure. To make his mark in the world, Milstein made numerous arduous decisions and undertook several lifestyle changes that ultimately enabled him to mentally grow and develop into a philanthropist. Nevertheless, as one of the most noble, educated, and generous leaders within the Jewish community, he has made a substantial amount of contributions that have stood in purpose to uplift the Israeli-American population.
After joining the Israeli Defense Forces at 19 and serving in the Yom Kippur War of 1973, Adam Milstein relocated to United States in 1981 to live in California. Prior to relocating, he had earning a business degree from the Israel Institute of Technology in 1978 which was then combined with the earning of his MBA form the University of Southern California in 1983. Nevertheless, with his passion for business being truly at heart, Adam Milstein ventured out within the state of California to begin building a career that would allow him to utilize his business education. He landed a job as a real-estate sales agent and worked diligently at his profession to eventually become a managing partner for a very proliferative commercial property investment firm—Hager Pacific Properties.
In addition to his obligations as financial overseer for Hager, Adam Milstein yearned to be of greater to the Jewish community by using his business skills to network and develop projects of his own. Together, he and his wife Gila made the heartfelt decision in 2000 to establish the Adam and Gila Milstein Family Foundation to serve the purpose of establishing leadership within the community by administering occupational training and endeavoring to preserve cultural identity for the Israeli-American population by retaining ties between Israel and the United States. Additionally, the foundation too strives to inspire the community to give back to others to create an environment that nurtures the growth of other philanthropic organizations and activities.
